LONDON'S NUTRITION STORY

Originally from Jackson, MS, I got my bachelor's degree in food and nutrition from the University of Alabama. I went on to complete my master’s degree in clinical nutrition from UA as well. I completed a clinically focused dietetic internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX where I now reside. After completing my internship, I became licensed as a registered dietitian in the states of TX and MS. I have spent my career with a focus in weight management, working with both women and the pediatric population. Throughout my clinical training and nutrition counseling experience, I have always had a heart to help women reach their goals and feel their best! 

LONDON'S NUTRITION BACKGROUND

I have always had a passion for food. Food provides much more than just amazing taste—it brings family and friends together and helps creates memories. However, as I started college, I began to realize I had no clue how to fuel my body in a way that made me feel my best! I struggled with anxiety, poor digestion, inflammation, low energy and weight gain. I felt like I was trapped in a body that was not my own. Once I began studying nutrition at the University of Alabama, the pieces began to fall into place. I built a solid foundation of nutrition knowledge and used that to guide my meal and snack choices. I stopped choosing exercise that drained me and switched to a low-impact, music based class that was FUN! It took me years to feel like I knew what my body needed to feel its best, and I realized I wanted to help other women discover what nourishes their bodies. Society today presents an overwhelming amount of options for weight loss, and these options are ever-changing. That’s why I created hl ² with 2 key anchors at its core: evidence-based nutrition knowledge and improving relationship with food.  These pillars are at the heart of everything we do. We take those and we personalize a journey just for you! I am so grateful to live out my passion of helping women meet their weight and health goals.

HOW WE WORK

As an hl ² client, you will work one-on-one with a registered dietitian to teach you how to nourish your body during and after weight loss. We take a holistic approach to nutrition, knowing that optimizing sleep, minimizing stress and reducing inflammation are key factors in reaching your best health. We know the importance of personalized nutrition, including personalizing this journey to fit with your schedule--that's why our program is 100% online via telehealth.
